Boulder City.

Boulder City was originally built in 1931 as housing for workers building the Hoover Dam. Though only a half an hour from the Las Vegas Strip, we have fallen in love with it's historic, sleepy and South-Western vibe.

In contrast to Vegas which reinvents itself frequently, little has changed in the architecture and feel of Boulder City since its incorporation in the era of the great depression. Its charm makes it one of our favorite quick getaways.

When describing it to friends, we explained our choice of wedding location as such: "It's Vegas, but not Vegas."

Courtney says...

I was always pretty indifferent to Marriage but I found someone I can actually
see myself growing old with. So. There's that.

Dave says...

I didn't think she existed, or indeed that she could exist. I'd resigned myself
to choosing solitude, but hardly any time after we first hung out that changed to
"It's her, or solitude". Thankfully, it's her.
